OXFORDSHIRE’S NEXT RUGBY STARS SET TO TRAIN ALONGISDE THE LEICESTER TIGERS

GROVE RFC’s under 14s team will train alongside the legendary Leicester Tigers and appear on the hallowed turf during half-time, thanks to first aid specialists Firstaid4sport.

The company launched the ‘Tigers Day Out’ competition to give youth clubs and teams across the country the chance to train alongside the famous Tigers. Through a nomination from their coach, the team from Wantage, Oxfordshire, will now get to make their mark in front of professional trainers and players.

The contest, which was run alongside Mueller Sports Medicine, will see the youngsters complete a 90-minute training session with the academy coach before the Leicester Tigers V Bath match on 25 October 2016. They will meet the first team for a Q&A session, watch the entire match, and get out on the pitch for photos at half-time.

Michael Davison, owner of Firstaid4sport, said: “This is a great opportunity for this young team to learn from the very best and access training at an elite level. The competition really embodies what we stand for; working with the best in the business to communicate that players of any age or standard should understand the importance of using high-quality first aid.”

Lee Marsden, coach of Grove RFC under 14s, added: “I would like to thank Firstaid4sport for running the competition and what will be a fantastic experience for the boys. This age is critical in their development and we lose boys to different things, meaning the squad can struggle for numbers but this will certainly keep their interest.”
