Adey Steel Group support local youth rugby tournament
Family owned steel company, Adey Steel Group, are to be a main sponsor of an upcoming youth rugby tournament.
Recognising the importance of supporting young local talent, Adey Steel Group are sponsoring Loughborough Rugby Club during their upcoming youth rugby tournament in a partnership that looks to remain for at least two seasons.
The annual youth rugby tournament will take place on 20th March 2016 and is one of the highlights of the year for Loughborough Rugby Club with as many as 1,000 people expected to attend from rugby clubs around the East Midlands.
Sponsorship from Adey Steel Group will give the club the opportunity to raise much needed funds to buy equipment, improve facilities and offer continued support to youth teams throughout the season.
Andrew Adey, Managing Director of the Adey Steel Group said: “We are very pleased to support local sport. The Loughborough Annual Youth Rugby Tournament is a fantastic opportunity that will encourage local young people to participate in group sports and it is important that these tournaments can continue in future years. We are delighted that our partnership will help this to be the case.”
The Adey Steel Group, recently celebrated its 90th Anniversary, operates across the construction and engineering sectors within its four business areas; Adey Steel, Adey SteelShop, Adey Technical and Adey Transport. The company has worked on both large and small scale projects such as Battersea Power Station, Selfridges London and the University of Nottingham.
The Loughborough based business recognises the need to support local young people both on and off the rugby pitch and works with Loughborough and Stephenson College to offer an apprenticeship programme which welcomes four new entrants each year. Apprentices from the Adey Steel Group have gone on to become fully qualified shopfloor workers, CAD designers and draughtsmen and even project managers.
