Planned Roof Reparations On Mitcham & Carshalton Rugby Club To Commence
The committee for Mitcham & Carshalton Rugby Club are delighted to announce that after several difficult months, reparations have begun on the clubhouse roof which had sustained damage from vandals over the summer.
Statement from the club:
“Mitcham & Carshalton Rugby Club were the victim of several vandalism incidents over the summer, causing thousands of pounds worth of damage to the roof of the clubhouse. As the club underwent plans to repair, weather conditions only served to cause further damage, including issues with the electrics and even larger holes to form in the roof in several different places. We’re pleased to announce however that reparations begun today and before the end of the month, we’re expecting the roof to be completely.
This is all down to the incredibly kind and generous donations from the members, friends and families of Mitcham and Carshalton Rugby Club, who together, have helped us raise over six thousand pounds. Through the GoFundMe donations, Mitcham have been able to not only fund reparations on the roof, but also to improve our electric systems, which will be upgraded to a commercial standard.
Our club cannot thank you enough.”
This is just the first step in Mitcham’s development plans, which are seeking to bring in more players at senior and youth level to the club and raise awareness of the club in the local area.
