Christmas Gift Guide Segment 48 !

Disaronno… The Gift Of Dessert In A Glass… www.disaronno.com

For the upcoming holiday season, many people play it safe and choose gifts for their parents and friends such as a whiskey for the guys and a vodka for the girls who enjoy their martinis. This year, why not surprise them with something special and give the gift of dessert in a glass with Disaronno Velvet. Known as the world’s favorite Italian liqueur, Disaronno Velvet was recently launched in April 2020 and is the latest innovation within the liqueur category.

Incredibly smooth, Disaronno Velvet at 17% ABV boasts the floral character of almonds with nuances of chocolate and vanilla. Blending the unique flavor of Disaronno Originale and the richness of a velvety cream, Disaronno Velvet is best served over ice, or add a touch of Italian elegance to your favorite cream cocktails such as a Velvet White Espresso Martini and Velvet Godfather. This liqueur is the perfect holiday gift for those who love sophisticated cream liqueurs.

For this holiday season, Disaronno International has created a Disaronno Velvet Holiday Pack (SRP: $34.99: purchase here) that contains a 750mL bottle of Disaronno Velvet and two branded white and gold glasses to enjoy the liqueur in.

Integrative Nurse Coach Launches Self-Care Box
Guided meditations help to relieve stress and anxiety during uncertain times

[National, November 13, 2020] – Many are feeling hopeless, anxious and exhausted as a result of the pandemic and other societal issues. Glenda Bundy, integrative nurse coach and founder of Time Mind Life Health and Wellness Coaching, created the ‘In This Moment’ Self-Care box to help people carve out time to focus on mental and physical health.

According to the Census Bureau, one third of Americans show signs of clinical anxiety or depression in the wake of the pandemic.

“Finding peace and balance are critically important for self-preservation. The ‘In This Moment’ Self-Care Box is all about finding time to join the mind and body to create space for self-love, harmony and gratitude,” said Bundy.

The ‘In This Moment’ Self-Care Box includes guided meditations, which supports people as they shift from autopilot to being present in the moment rather than fixating on the future or past. The curated collection creates a spirit of joyful exploration. It also helps to create a personal sanctuary, a healing space and helps build resilience and compassion for oneself.

The ‘In This Moment’ Meditation experience includes:

· Three guided mediations, which encourages individuals to love and honor themselves

· Soothing 10.5 oz bath bomb, infused with beautifully fragrant oil and florals

· 4 oz. lavender and bamboo scented soy candle, which helps induce relaxation

· Light weight, invigorating radiance oil, with a mild scent of lavender, organic natural oils, and vitamin D

· A journal and custom pen for creating a space for reflection, and exploration of how you feel in this moment

“I encourage everyone to make themselves a priority and take a moment out of their busy day to be more mindful” said Bundy.

Bundy has been a practicing nurse for more than three decades and she has supported clients as an integrative nurse coach for nearly a decade. For more information about Time Mind Life and the ‘In This Moment’ Self-Care Box, visit www.TimeMindLife.com.

About A Pilgrim Looks at 60 (more on the website, pilgrim60.com)

“I am a commercial pilot and so it is I travel. A lot. I go from point A to point B and I do it thousands of feet above the earth and hundreds of miles an hour. Every one of my flights begins with a point of origin and ends at a destination. These journeys can be a time of continuous change—from the predictable change of the scenery flashing by and the changing weather patterns to the unpredictability of events emerging outside of my control—that can interrupt the journey and lead to a different destination altogether. And when those trips are over, I travel home or prepare for the next leg of my journey.

In truth, we are all such travelers.

From the moment of our birth, our lives are really a pilgrimage of continuous motion into life itself, where most of us find ourselves moving rapidly through the ever-quickening stages of childhood and adulthood, a hastening course from which there’s no turning back and no way to halt our forward momentum. We find ourselves rushing somewhere towards something. There is a beginning and end to this life journey, and there are no exceptions. Most cannot escape the fact—and more importantly the feeling—that we were built for something significant. That there is a purpose and meaning to this journey, this trajectory of life we are on……..”

So begins A Pilgrim Looks at 60. It is a narrative wrapped in a story of an autobiographical journey of one average, middle of the road character who comes round later to the Christian worldview, an unlooked for intrusion at the time, and how he processes some of the challenging issues it presents. Through a variety of experiences meeting some extraordinary people in places like Post Communist Romania, the jungles of Ecuador, the Far East, Texas, Florida, Nebraska, Africa and more, this self depreciating autobiographical story is a pilgrimage of sorts, confronting head on issues honestly and humorously, issues that Christianity in particular raises, but also humanity in general. Questions all of us ask sooner or later on this journey we are on.

My business is ranked #152nd fastest growing company in INC500. I was also included in Forbes 30 under 30 in manufacturing. Just recently, I had an opportunity to share my passion for authenticity at a TEDxTalk.

I realized that many current skincare ingredients, such as fragrances or fillers, break out my skin, so I created my own skincare products in my kitchen. Art on a Postcard presents first Series of
Photography Boxsets
Supporting the Hepatitis C Trust

December 2020

I Only Want you To Love Me – From the Miles Aldridge boxset

Art on a Postcard (AOAP) is pleased to announce the release of its first series of beautifully produced photography boxsets, available from 1 December. The boxsets are designed for photography enthusiasts to own sets of limited edition prints by fine art photographers at an affordable price. Each box set is priced at £250 each with 50% of proceeds going to The Hepatitis C Trust and 50% to the photographer.

Photographers Miles Aldridge, Julia Fullerton-Batten, Sandro Miller, Ade Adekola and Harry Borden have each made a selection of 10 museum quality prints which will be presented in individual archival boxes with a signed Certificate of Authenticity. These beautiful collector’s items will be available from the Art on a Postcard online shop in time for Christmas.

Miles Aldridge

Miles Aldridge (British, b.1964) is a fashion photographer widely known for his distinctive over-saturated, surreal, and glamorous photographs. In his work, Aldridge sets a stage and mood akin to the great Hollywood directors of the 1940s through 1960s. Infused with intense colour, light, and drama, his women and men are always beautiful and detached. The women he portrays, in particular, are often caught in dark or mysterious situations.

Aldridge’s photographs have been exhibited in the Miami Beach Art Expo (2007); the Galerie Alex Daniels, Amsterdam (2006 and 2008); the Contributed Studio for the Arts, Berlin (2010); the Gallery Hotel Art, Florence (2010); his first United States solo show, The Cabinet and Acid Candy, was displayed at the Steven Kasher Gallery in New York City (2009). His work is in numerous permanent collections including the National Portrait Gallery, London, the Victoria and Albert Museum, London, and the International Center of Photography, New York.

Hallway – from the Julia Fullerton-Batten boxset

Julia Fullerton-Batten

Julia Fullerton-Batten is a worldwide acclaimed and exhibited fine-art photographer. Fullerton-Batton’s body of work encompasses twelve major projects which span a decade of her career in the field.

Julia’s use of unusual locations, highly creative settings, street-cast models, accented with cinematic lighting are hallmarks of her style. She insinuates visual tensions in her images and imbues them with a mystique that teases the viewer into continually re-examining the picture; something new coming to the fore each time. These qualities have established enthusiasts for her work worldwide and at all ends of the cultural spectrum, from casual viewers to connoisseurs of fine-art photography.

Fullerton-Batten has won countless awards for both her commercial and fine-art work, and is a Hasselblad Master. She was commissioned by The National Portrait Gallery in London to shoot portraits of leading people in the UK National Health Service. These are now held there in a permanent collection. Other images are also in permanent collection at the Musée de l’Élysée, Lausanne, Switzerland.

Left – Deconstructed portraits. Right – Mirror, Mirror – from the Ade Adekola boxset

Ade Adekola

Ade Adekola’s work spans a variety of media: photography, installations, and interactive art. He is a Nigerian-born Architect turned contemporary artist. Self-taught, he has been making images since his early teens. Ade’s eye is influenced by a blend of visual languages that cut across multiple cultures. In his recent works he redirects his practice to creating contemporary representations from traditional and urban Nigerian culture. For example, he creates new expressions of traditional textiles; glittering gemstone photo mosaics from ethnographic images; large scale photomontages of urban dwellers; iconic blur images of festivals and optical kinetic pieces from urban photograms. His work is colourful and often uses overlapping images. His innovative compositions add new perspectives to African photography.

Harry Borden

Harry Borden is a British portrait photographer based in London. His subjects have included celebrities Robin Williams, Ewan McGregor, Jamie Oliver, Tony Blair, and Margaret Thatcher. Examples of Borden’s work are held in the collections of the National Portrait Gallery, London and National Portrait Gallery, Australia.
Morgan Freeman from the Harry Borden boxset

Sandro Miller

Sandro began photographing in Chicago at the age of sixteen and has since devoted his thirty-plus-years career to creating expressive images from his elegant Ukranian Village studio. With numerous award-winning commercial campaigns to his credit, Sandro is one of today’s most respected commercial and fine art photographers.

Sandro’s editorial work has been featured in Communication Arts, Details, Esquire, ESPN Magazine, Eyemazing, Forbes, GQ, Graphis, Newsweek, New York Magazine, The New Yorker, Russian Esquire, Stern, Time, Vibe, Wired and has been exhibited worldwide. Sandro has a working relationship with Nikon and is responsible for introducing their latest technology to the professional photographic world. At the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity in France, in July 2011, Sandro was presented a Saatchi & Saatchi Best New Director Award for his short video “Butterflies” featuring John Malkovich.
